La Salle star overcomes life’s obstacles

Gerald Galloway will know most of what his son does on the court in LaSalle’s Sweet 16 game with Wichita State.

Galloway is blind. But he’ll still know how Ramon, the Explorers’ sweet shooting senior guard, is doing on the court during Thursday night at the Staples Center.

A family member, probably a cousin, will tell Gerald about key plays. That’s how it’s always been since Ramon has been playing.

Is Rick doing sports again? I know he was up in KC for the KU/K-State games, so writing a story about La Salle is easy to do. Didn't he used to do either the KU or K-State beat?

Nice story. It's always great to hear about athletes beating odds and being successful.

Unfortunately, that team is going to face another obstacle, only this time it is going to be on the basketball court in LA and it will be next to impossible for them to overcome!
